Huawei Mate 20 Pro is listed as the best of the world’s Top Ten Best Smartphones by Stuff, the UK’s leading gadget magazine.
Evaluation criteria include design and build, screen, software, performance, camera, and battery life.
China’s Huawei has become the biggest winner with three of its products ranking on the list.
A phone with more tech per square inch than any other – a smartphone marvel, the Stuff said.
Below is the full list:
No.1 Huawei Mate 20 Pro
No.2 OnePlus 6T
It may be a tweak of the last model, but this is the best way to avoid spending £800 or more on a phone.
No.3 Apple iPhone XS
Familiar on the outside, hidden treats on the inside. This is the iPhone X, but better.
No.4 Samsung Galaxy S9
It’s not a huge upgrade on the S8, but this is still one of the best phones you can buy. It’s powerful, takes fantastic photos, and is gorgeous.
No.5 Honor 9 Lite
Cutting-edge design at a price that won’t shred your wallet: this is an excellent budget phone.
No.6 Moto G6 Plus
An A+ budget phone catching up fast with the mid-range giants.
No.7 Honor 8X
A bigger and better screen, more power than its rivals, plus serious camera upgrades, and all at a very reasonable price point? It’s a no brainer.
No.8 Sony Xperia XZ3
Sony’s best phone to date combines display, camera and performance prowess into a single desirable package.
No.9 Samsung Galaxy Note 9
A bigger, bolder and smarter entry in the note series with a Bluetooth S pen.
No.10 Google Pixel 3XL
It’s not a dramatic revolution but the latest Pixel is still one of the best Androids, and a great Android 9 showcase.
